Join Oliver Vernon in his studio for this 3-day hands on workshop designed to enhance your painting skills.
Recommended for artists of all levels of experience, this workshop will focus on essential techniques to elevate your painting practice.
The workshop will take place in Grass Valley, California on March 21st -23rd from 10am-4pm each day with a break for lunch.
We will cover fundamental topics such as:
Materials & Usage:
Explore a variety of tools and their possibilities.
Learn color mixing and palette management techniques
Push/Pull:
Learn to create depth and movement in your compositions using color tonality and perspective.
Light and Shadow:
Use rendering to effectively transform abstraction to reality.
Techniques:
Gestural mark-making, washes, layering, masking and more!
Oliver will also be presenting slideshows and talks about his personal artistic journey and a brief history of 20th Century Abstract Painting.
The number of spots are limited to 20.
